Alien Names

The simplest thing if you need a quick alien name is to use and you’re bad at making it up off the top of your head is to use the Alien Name Generator at fantasynamegenerators.com.  The second simplest thing is to buy a set of four 30-sided dice with the letters of the English alphabet on it, and roll it a few times until you come up with some combination you like.  Often just rolling the four dice is enough to give you the shape of the name and you can fill in some vowels and ‘ to taste.

Or if you don’t like that, you can adopt the “Our names cannot be pronounced by your human vocal apparatus” route and have them all have names given to them by the humans based on their salient features or planets of origin: Fuzzies, Greys, Martians, etc.
